Terms of Service
By accessing or using the MarineRadar website (www.marineradar.com), mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Lascade, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
MarineRadar is a real-time vessel tracking platform that provides:
- Live AIS vessel positions and tracking for 112,000+ vessels worldwide
- Port information for 7,900+ ports with UN/LOCODE identifiers
- Lighthouse data for 7,300+ lighthouses with flash characteristics and coverage
- Vessel details including type, flag state, IMO number, course, speed, and voyage data
- Maritime intelligence and educational content via our Hub
The Service is available via web browser and mobile applications for iOS and Android.
MarineRadar displays vessel positions and maritime data derived from Automatic Identification System (AIS) broadcasts. While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, you acknowledge that:
- AIS data is broadcast by vessels and may contain errors, omissions, or delays
- Vessel positions may not reflect real-time locations due to transmission gaps or signal interference
- The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only
- MarineRadar data must not be used as a substitute for official navigation tools, charts, or safety equipment
- We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data displayed
You may use the Service for lawful purposes including personal research, maritime education, fleet monitoring, logistics planning, and general maritime awareness. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for navigation or as a replacement for certified maritime safety systems
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without written permission
- Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit MarineRadar data or content without authorisation
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the integrity of the Service
- Use the Service to track vessels for illegal activities including smuggling, piracy, or surveillance
- Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or security measures
Certain features, such as the My Fleet vessel tracking list, may require you to create an account or store preferences locally. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
All content on MarineRadar — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, map interfaces, data compilations, and blog articles — is the property of Lascade or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The MarineRadar name, logo, and associated branding are trademarks of Lascade. You may not use these marks without prior written consent.
The Service integrates with and links to third-party services including OpenStreetMap for map tiles, app stores for downloads, and external maritime data sources. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. LASCADE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LASCADE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US, IF ANY, FOR ACCESS TO THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lascade and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
