About Vordingborg Municipality Lighthouses Lighthouse
This square wooden lighthouse, standing 4 meters tall, was rebuilt in July 2020. It is painted white with a red horizontal band and located on the beach at Roneklint, east of the entrance to Praestø Fjord. The original structure, built in 1894, became inactive around 2006 and was destroyed by fire in December 2018. The current lighthouse is a faithful replica of the original design. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself remains closed.
Why it matters: The reconstruction of this lighthouse after a fire highlights the community's commitment to preserving its coastal heritage. Its presence marks the entrance to Praestø Fjord.
