The Åbenrå lighthouse, built in 1927, guided ships entering the harbor from the Lille Bælt. It stood on a brick foundation with a cylindrical wooden tower, standing 4 meters high. The light, a single white occulting flash, was displayed through a square window. This navigational aid had a geographic range of 10 nautical miles.
