About Vengeancegrund Lighthouse
Established in 1977, Vengeancegrund lighthouse is a 10-meter metal mast topped with a round lantern and gallery. Its green cylindrical tower stands 10 meters above the water, emitting a white flash every 5 seconds with a geographic range of 10.4 nautical miles. Located 2.7 kilometers northwest of the Agersø Flak light, it guides vessels on the west side of the Storebælt channel. The lighthouse is situated near the port of Agersø, with the site open to visitors but the tower remaining closed.
Why it matters: Vengeancegrund is indispensable for safe passage through the Storebælt channel, a significant Danish shipping lane.
