Also known as: Senj {Segna} Marija Art Breakwater, Segna
An unpainted, cylindrical stone tower measuring 9 meters in height stands at the termination of the breakwater on the southwest edge of Senj Bay. This structure, erected in 1880, succeeded an earlier light established in 1865. It displays a white light, flashing once every 10 seconds, from a focal plane 10 meters above sea level. The lighthouse provides visibility for 10.4 nautical miles and is situated 0.1 kilometers from the Senj harbor. Access to the grounds is permitted, but the tower is not open for entry.
Why it matters: The lighthouse marks the breakwater's extent, providing a navigation aid for vessels approaching or departing the port of Senj.
