About Sejet Forfyr Lighthouse
Sejet Forfyr was established and first lit in 1902 as a navigational aid on the south side of Horsens Fjord. This square wooden building, standing 3.5 meters tall, has a focal height of 3 meters. Initially, its green light was displayed through a window, but it has since been moved to the exterior of the structure to improve visibility. A 2018 report indicated that the building was found in poor condition. The site is accessible to the public, though the tower itself remains closed.
Why it matters: The continuous green light of Sejet Forfyr serves as a reference point for vessels navigating the southern side of the channel into Horsens Fjord.
