About Rt Štokić Lighthouse
Also known as: Rt Štokić (Jablanac)
A white concrete post, 6 meters in height, marks the Rt Štokić light. This structure stands on a steep slope about 1 kilometer northwest of Jablanac harbor. The focal height of the light is 50 meters above sea level, and it emits a white flash every 6 seconds. A 1-story stone keeper's cottage, built in the 1920s, is nearby; it formerly housed an inactive light on a short concrete pillar. The site is open to the public, but the active tower is closed. The light's geographic range is 18.7 nautical miles.
Why it matters: This light guides vessels through a narrow passage between the Croatian mainland and Otok Rab, helping them avoid hazards in these constrained waters.
