About Hirtshals Lighthouse
Built in 1863, Hirtshals Lighthouse is a cylindrical brick tower standing 35 meters tall. Its focal height reaches 57 meters, and it emits a white light with a characteristic of one white flash every 30 seconds. The structure is attached by covered passageways to two keeper's houses. Located about 1.2 kilometers southwest of the Hirtshals harbor, the lighthouse is situated near the Kystvej. It was restored during the summer of 2005 and is open to the public. The lighthouse has a geographic range of 19.7 nautical miles.
