Fyrskib 21 Skagens Rev Lighthouse

Constructed in 1911, Fyrskib 21 Skagens Rev is a wooden lightship that measures 33.6 meters in height and is painted deep red with a white horizontal band. Its light, a green flash characteristic, was displayed from a lantern atop the mainmast. The vessel primarily served on the Horns Rev station before World War II and was stationed off Læso from 1945 to 1969. Its final assignment was at Skagens Rev, marking the end of the Skagen spit. This lightship was decommissioned on December 12, 1988, becoming the last Danish lightship withdrawn from service. In 2006, it was moored near Ebeltoft as a café before being moved across the harbor basin. By 2018, the vessel was in poor condition and was sold in 2020, with renovations beginning in Svendborg in 2022 after its purchase for 1 krone.
