UAE Suspends All Trade With Iran After Missile Attack

On 19 August 2026, the UAE suspended all trade with Iran. The announcement came hours after Iranian ballistic missiles struck UAE territory. Shelter-in-place warnings went out nationwide.

On the day of the attack, MarineRadar tracked 302 unique device pings near Ras al-Khaimah and 187 near Qeshm County, Iran, both above baseline for those cells. The strait carries approximately 20 percent of the world's traded oil.
