Built in 1937, the Óshólar lighthouse is a 6-meter-high square stone tower located on the south side of Ísafjörður, about 3 kilometers east of Bolungarvík. Its lantern sits 25 meters above sea level. The tower is orange with a yellow lantern, and it emits three white or red flashes every 20 seconds. This light has a geographic range of 14.3 nautical miles. Visitors can access the site, but the tower itself remains closed.
