About Brík Lighthouse
Brík Lighthouse was built in 1966 of concrete and first illuminated that same year. This white tower has a focal height of 50 meters and emits a white flash every 10 seconds. Its structure consists of a 4-meter round white lantern atop a concrete base. The lighthouse is situated on the west side of the entrance to Olafsfjorðfur and Eyjafjorðfur, approximately 3 kilometers northeast of the fishing village of Olafsfjorðfur. While the site is open to the public, the tower itself is closed. Its geographic range is 18.7 nautical miles.
