Built and first lit in 1942, it features a square concrete tower topped with a lantern and gallery. Its vertical stripes appear as black from a distance, a distinctive visual characteristic. The light emits a sequence of two white, green, or red flashes every 10 seconds, visible for 14.1 nautical miles. The site is accessible to the public, although the tower itself is closed. An access road was chained in 2020.
