The lighthouse features a square cylindrical design, painted yellow with a red lantern, and its light reaches a focal height of 15 meters. It emits two white, red, or green flashes every 15 seconds, visible for up to 11.9 nautical miles. The nearest port is Patreksfjordur, located 10.8 kilometers away.
