KM Putri Yasmin caught fire in the Lombok Strait on August 12. One person died. Rescue teams deployed vessels and a helicopter, and more than 200 people were brought to safety.
The ferry had been traveling from Bali when the fire broke out before dawn. Rough seas. Navy and rescue vessels reached the scene throughout the morning and into the day.
Officials said the number of people rescued was higher than the count on the ferry's departure manifest.
