Upper Beauharnois Lock Range Rear Lighthouse

This steel skeletal tower stands 16 meters tall, with its light positioned at a focal height of 20 meters. The structure is square and pyramidal, painted orange with a black vertical stripe, and carries a daymark. Operating as a rear range light, it displays a continuous yellow light. Its purpose is to guide vessels downstream into the lock at the east entrance of the Beauharnois Canal, working in conjunction with a front range light. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
