Tvinitia Lighthouse

Tvinitia lighthouse is a square stone tower with a lantern and gallery, standing 6.5 meters tall. Its focal height reaches 12.5 meters, and it emits a white, red, or green light every 6 seconds, depending on the direction. Originally established as the rear light in a navigational range, its front light was later removed from the Norsk Fyrliste. This lighthouse is situated on a skerry near the northern tip of Ona island, accessible only by boat. The site is open to visitors, though the tower itself is closed to the public. Its geographic range extends to 11.2 nautical miles.

Why it matters: Tvinitia's continued operation is important for safe passage through the complex coastal waters off Ona, especially given its former role in a navigational range. Its multi-directional light provides specific warnings to vessels navigating the area's skerries and channels.
