About Trinity River Lighthouse
Established around 1900, the Trinity River Lighthouse guided vessels at the mouth of the Trinity River as it flows into Trinity Bay. This light aided river traffic connecting to the bay and local shipping through the channels. The lighthouse stood for fifteen years before its operational life ended abruptly. It was destroyed by the 1915 Galveston Hurricane. No structure from this lighthouse remains.
