This cylindrical tower, standing 11 meters tall and painted white, is situated atop a one-story equipment building that features a red band. The entire structure rests on a concrete pier. The light emits a single red flash every 2.5 seconds. The site is accessible, but the tower itself is closed to the public. It is located approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Toledo harbor on Lake Erie.
Why it matters: This light clearly marks the start of the dredged channel into Toledo harbor, a key route for cargo vessels. It also houses meteorological sensors for environmental research.
