About Table Bluff Lighthouse
Table Bluff Light was constructed in 1892 on a bluff south of Humboldt Bay in Northern California. The lighthouse featured a tower 11 meters high with a focal height of 10.5 meters. This aid was built to guide vessels away from the hazardous coastline and signal their approach to the bay's entrance. The lighthouse was among the earliest to be automated. The original tower structure has since been relocated to Woodley Island Marina in Eureka.
