The Struten Lighthouse was constructed in 1907 as a square cylindrical wood tower, standing 12.5 meters tall. It is attached to a 1-1/2 story wood keeper's house. The tower is painted white with a red vertical stripe, and its lantern and gallery are also red. Located on a small island on the east side of the Oslofjord channel, approximately 8 km northwest of Torbjørnskjær, the lighthouse served the region of Østfold. German troops fortified the island during World War II. The lighthouse was deactivated in 1985.
