About Store Jensøy Lighthouse
Store Jensøy lighthouse is located on an island at the southwest edge of the Engelvær archipelago, an area comprising more than 100 small rocky islands designated as a nature reserve. The structure features a 5.5-meter lantern and gallery placed on a stone cairn. The conical tower, constructed from stone, reaches a focal height of 17 meters and is painted white and black. Its light characteristic is two white flashes every 10 seconds, with a geographic range of 12.4 nautical miles. Directional red and green lights are also present. Access to the site is permitted, but entry into the tower is not allowed.
