About Sognskjæret Lighthouse
Sognskjæret lighthouse is an octagonal concrete tower standing 7 meters tall, located on a skerry off the west side of Tingvollfjord in Gjemnes, Norway. The tower features a red top with two horizontal bands of black and white. It replaced an older 6-meter square skeletal tower. Its white, red, and green light flashes in a sequence of occultations every 6 seconds. The lighthouse is situated near the headland on the west side of the Tingvollfjord.
