A stone tower, 10 meters high, attached to a one-story keeper's house, both now in ruins, once marked Slyngen lighthouse. The original stone structure stood on a small island on the northwest side of the Åsvær group, near Dønna in Nordland, Norway. The current operational light features a white, red, or green beam, depending on the direction, with a cycle of six seconds. This light sits atop a platform supported by piles. The geographic range of the light is 9.7 nautical miles, with a focal height of 8 meters. The site is accessible to the public, but the ruined tower remains closed.
