The light, visible for 11.3 nautical miles, emits a continuous white flash. The lighthouse is situated off Granville Road, southwest of Annapolis Royal, near the Port Royal National Historic Site. Ownership transferred to the Annapolis Heritage Society in 2015, followed by the Port Royal Lighthouse Association in October 2022. Restoration efforts were completed in 2023.
