The red, cylindrical tower measures 10 meters in height, with the light source situated 20 meters above sea level. The lighthouse complex comprises a lantern and gallery connected to the side of a 2-1/2 story keeper's dwelling. The light was automated in 1979. Sande Kommune acquired the abandoned keeper's house in 2007, and preservation work started in 2010.
