About Rolvsøyhamn Lighthouse
Rolvsøyhamn Lighthouse is a 7-meter cylindrical concrete tower located on the east side of Rolvsøy island, about 15 kilometers south of Gunnarnes, Norway. The structure, painted white with a red lantern roof, reaches a focal height of 17 meters. Its light provides a directional white, red, and green flash sequence every 5 seconds. The site can be reached by boat, but the tower remains closed to visitors. Ingoy is the closest port, situated 5.6 kilometers distant.
Why it matters: The lighthouse's white, red, and green sectors serve as a navigation aid, marking the eastern promontory of Rolvsøy and assisting passage through the coastal waters south of Gunnarnes.
