This 13-meter cylindrical cast iron tower, constructed in 1905, began operation in the same year. Its exterior is white with one red horizontal band. The lighthouse is located on the western side of Årø island, marking the 500-meter channel between the island and the mainland near Årøsund. It displays an isophase white, red, or green light with a 2-second cycle. The structure consists of a round cast iron tower with a lantern and gallery, reaching a focal height of 12 meters. Access to the site is permitted, but the tower is not open to visitors.
