About Presque Isle Lighthouse
Constructed in 1872, the Presque Isle Light became operational in 1873. This white lighthouse stands 21 meters tall, with its focal height at 22 meters. It projects a light with a geographic range of 13 nautical miles. The light emits an isophase white signal. The structure is situated on the northern shoreline of Presque Isle State Park, overlooking the beach on Lake Erie. It is one of three lighthouses located in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Background
The Presque Isle Light, historically nicknamed the "Flash Light", is a lighthouse on the shore of Lake Erie in U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is one of three lighthouses in Erie, along with the Erie Land Light and the North Pier Light. The lighthouse is situated on the northern shoreline of Presque Isle State Park overlooking the beach.
