Olcott Lighthouse

Olcott Light was constructed on a pier at Eighteen Mile Creek in Olcott, New York. The creek's name derives from its location eighteen miles from the Niagara River along Lake Ontario. This light, standing 8.2 meters tall with a focal height of 8 meters, began operation in 1873. It was no longer deemed necessary by the 1930s and was relocated to a local yacht club. The original structure was destroyed in the early 1960s, but a replica was erected in 2003 based on historical photographs.
