Its structure features a white lower half and a bright red upper half, topped with a white lantern roof. The keeper's dwelling was lost in 1915. The light was non-operational between 1944 and 2009. Significant upkeep was finished in 1991 and again in 2003. Further exterior refurbishment took place in 2022. The site admits visitors.
