About Nordre Langøy Lighthouse
Located on the north side of Langøy island in the Inner Oslofjorden, this hexagonal fiberglass tower stands 8 meters tall. Its light is positioned 9 meters above sea level and has a geographic range of 10 nautical miles. The light emits two white flashes, red, or green every 8 seconds, depending on the direction of approach. This modern structure replaced an original octagonal cast iron lantern. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself is closed.
