This navigational aid is situated about 200 meters southeast of the Kavringsanden light and 300 meters northeast of the Kavringen lighthouse. Its original construction consisted of a 6-meter round concrete pier supporting a lantern. This has since been replaced by a light mounted on a mast. The current light emits a quick white flash from a focal height of 11.5 meters, visible for 10.9 nautical miles. The site is accessible by boat, although the mast structure is not open to the public.
