Munroe Point Lighthouse

🇨🇦St. Anns, CAOperational

Constructed in 1906, the Munroe Point Lighthouse is a square pyramidal wooden tower standing 9.5 meters tall. It is painted white with red trim and overlooks St. Ann's Bay from a promontory on its west side. The lighthouse ceased active service in the early 1960s. Since its deactivation, the structure has been adapted for private use, including periods of summer rental. A webpage for the lighthouse was removed in 2008, and it was sold in 2018. It is now available for vacation rentals.

Why it matters: The Munroe Point Lighthouse represents an example of adaptive reuse for a historic coastal structure, offering visitors a lodging experience within a former light station.
