A square pyramidal tower, 7.5 meters high and painted white with a red lantern, stands at the southern entrance to Arichat Harbour on Isle Madame. The focal height of the light is 10 meters, and it emits a continuous white beam visible for 10.4 nautical miles. The current structure, built in 2018, replaces a 1949 wooden lighthouse. The light station was first established in 1851, with the original tower replaced in 1869. The site was known as Arichat Light until 1970, the same year the keepers' houses were removed. The nearest port of Arichat is 1.8 kilometers away.
