About Lodbjerg Lighthouse
Constructed of unpainted granite, the Lodbjerg Lighthouse is a cylindrical stone tower standing 35 meters tall. First lit in 1884, its light cycles through a white flash every 20 seconds. The focal height reaches 48 meters, providing a geographic range of 18.4 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated about 1 kilometer inland within the Lodbjerg Klitplantage maritime forest preserve, approximately 8 kilometers north of Agger. Its lantern dome was replaced with a replica in 1999. The tower is open to the public and maintained by a resident caretaker.
