Île Bouchard Range Rear Lighthouse

First lit in 1902, the Île Bouchard Range Rear light is a square cylindrical skeletal tower standing 16.5 meters tall. Its structure is painted orange with a black vertical stripe positioned on the range line. This navigational aid emits a continuous green light, designed to be visible only along the exact alignment for downstream vessels. The tower's focal height reaches 22 meters, providing a geographic range of 13.6 nautical miles. It is located on the southeast side of Île Bouchard, an island that divides the river near Verchères, about 20 km northeast of Montréal.
