This skeletal tower, standing 6 meters tall with a focal height of 5 meters, is painted white with a red roof. It emits an occulting white, red, or green light on a 6-second cycle, visible for 8.4 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated on the west side of the entrance to the narrow Kvænangstraumen strait, connecting the Båderfjord and Sørfjord. The E6 highway crosses the strait approximately 200 meters south of the light. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself is closed.
