About Jerseyman Island Lighthouse
The Jerseyman Island Lighthouse, a 7.5-meter tall square pyramidal wooden tower painted white, guides vessels at the north end of Jerseyman Island. Established in 1872, the light station has seen several structures. The original lighthouse was replaced in 1950, and that tower was later replaced in 2017 by the current structure due to deterioration. The lantern itself is red, and the focal height of the light is 12 meters, with a geographic range of 11 nautical miles. The keeper's house was sold and removed in 1980, indicating a transition towards automated operations. The lighthouse emits a flashing red light.
