Icelandic River Sector Lighthouse

This white cylindrical skeletal tower, with red horizontal bands at the top and bottom, stands 20 meters tall. Its focal height reaches 226 meters, and it emits a quick-flashing white, red, or green light depending on the viewing direction. The lighthouse is situated beside Highway 8, approximately 2 km northwest of the Icelandic River's mouth. It guides vessels across a shallow basin located between the south end of Hecla Island and the river's entrance on the west side of the lake. The site is open to the public, although the tower itself is closed.
