Situated on a shoal about 2.5 kilometers east of the Amtaedo lighthouse, its focal plane is 12 meters above the water. The lighthouse emits a white light with a single flash every 15 seconds, visible for 11 nautical miles. Access to the site is permitted, but the tower itself is closed to the public. Its nearest port is Mokpo, 11.2 kilometers away.
