About Åhus Nedre Lighthouse
A square skeletal steel tower, standing 38 meters tall, guides vessels into Åhus harbor. The lighthouse, first lit in 1963, has a focal height of 35 meters and emits a quick-flashing red light. It is situated on the north side of the harbor entrance, 0.1 kilometers from the port of Åhus. A red triangular daymark is also carried by the structure. The original station at this location was established in 1897, with the current tower built in 1963.
