About Horton Point Lighthouse

Horton Point Light is an 18-meter tall tower constructed in 1857. The lighthouse first shone its light in the same year. Its focal height reaches 31 meters above sea level. The light it emits is green. Although no longer operational, the lighthouse is situated on the north side of Eastern Long Island in the hamlet of Southold. The Town of Southold Park District oversees the lighthouse and its surrounding grounds.
