Homlungen Lighthouse, built in 1867 and first lit the same year, is a white, cylindrical wooden tower standing 12 meters tall. Its focal height is 13 meters, and it emits a white, red, or green light that flashes with a characteristic of one white, red, or green flash every 6 seconds. The structure consists of a square cylindrical wood tower with a lantern and gallery, rising from one corner of a 1-1/2 story wood keeper's house. The lighthouse was altered in 1915, reportedly with the installation of a new lantern. It is located at the southernmost point of Kirkøy, within the Ytre Hvaler National Park.
