It stands 83 meters above sea level and is located on a skerry in the Karmsund, off Våge in the Rogaland region of Norway. This lighthouse emitted a single white flash with a geographic range of 5 nautical miles. Its operational status ceased in 2015, and the structure may have been removed. The site is accessible by boat and is open to the public, though the tower itself remains closed.
Why it matters: Høgevarde assisted maritime traffic navigating the Karmsund, a significant waterway near Karmøy. Its position on a skerry helped define safe routes within the channel.
