This cylindrical concrete tower, standing 13 meters tall, is located on a reef in western Tongyeong Bay, approximately 3 kilometers north of Hwangdeokdo. The structure is painted black with a single red horizontal band. Its light flashes white every 5 seconds and is visible for 10.7 nautical miles. The lighthouse sits 11 meters above sea level. Access to the site is permitted, but the tower itself is closed to visitors. The nearest port is Jinhae, located 5.9 kilometers away.
Why it matters: This lighthouse warns vessels of the reef it occupies, helping to prevent groundings and ensure safe passage through the western part of Tongyeong Bay.
