It is located on the southwestern point of Helnæs island, which is connected to the mainland by a causeway and bridge. The tower is white with red trim and features a white lantern with a red roof. Its focal height is 30 meters, and it emits a white, red, or green light in a flashing sequence every 5 seconds. The lighthouse complex also includes a two-story keeper's house and other historical buildings.
