About Heceta Head Lighthouse

Completed in 1892, Heceta Head Lighthouse guided mariners for nearly a century. The white tower measures 11 meters in height, with the light source situated 62.5 meters above the sea. Its original illumination produced a flashing white signal. The station ceased operations in 1995. The light, visible for over 18 nautical miles, was deactivated after the installation of a modern optic on an adjacent tower.
