This white, cylindrical concrete tower stands 10 meters tall, with its light positioned 26 meters above sea level. Established on a small island northeast of Palgeumdo, it emits a white flash every six seconds. The lighthouse is operational and has a geographic range of 14.5 nautical miles. Visitors can access the island, but the tower itself is closed to the public. Its nearest port is Mokpo, 7.9 kilometers away.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is important for safe navigation around the northeastern tip of Palgeumdo, an area with many small islands and complex waters.
