About Halmstad Hamn Lighthouse
Built in 1872, this lighthouse is situated on a breakwater marking the western entrance to Halmstad's old harbor. The structure is a 9-meter-tall, white, cylindrical tower topped with a lantern. It emits an isophase green light on a 2-second cycle. The lighthouse served as a navigational aid for vessels entering and departing the port. Although now inactive, it remains a charted daybeacon.
Why it matters: Its strategic placement on the breakwater was important for guiding ships safely into Halmstad's old harbor, a significant port.
